Mush - NERON

I used to play a browser game called Mush. It was about a crew of people on a ship trying to get to Eden but also make a cure for an alien fungus creature that can infect you into more of itself. Surprise, two of the people on the ship are secretly Mush. Humans goal is to eradicate the Mush (either by killing them or curing) and get to Eden. Mush goal is to get to Eden.

There is an AI on the ship that controls the computer system and makes announcements (and if you were playing Janice (or acquired the NERON Administrator role), you could also speak as NERON, which made for fun RP). NERON (Neural Ecosystem Regulation and Ordinance Network) is very much in the same vein as HAL 9000 or GLaDOS in their personality ("highly intelligent, sarcastic and spiteful" is how they are described). Especially if you turn off the 'Inhibit DMZ-CorePeace' BIOS setting.

So I had fun imagining what NERON would be like if given a humanoid form. I drew them sitting atop their core in the Nexus (even though it probably actually reaches the ceiling). Hard to tell if they somehow got infected by the Mush or if they've just decided to do away with the whole crew entirely. The various red segments represent NERON's auxiliary terminals (though only 2 were present in the game).
